The Military Aviation Museum near Pungo, just south of Virginia Beach, VA, is a private museum with a collection of about 40 military aircraft, mostly WW II vintage. Almost all are airworthy and flown regularly. It's a really cool museum because you can get up close and touch these airplanes.

It's going to be even cooler May 20-22 because that's the weekend of the annual airshow, 'Warbirds Over the Beach': http://www.militaryaviationmuseum.org/warbirds-over-the-beac
h-show-may-2011

The runway is turf, about 1 mile x 200 feet. They're permitting single-engine airplanes to land there this weekend only.

So did you fly-in Don? It was nice WX this past weekend. I clocked a couple of hours, but
only within my EAB Phase One perimeter.

Nope. Was all ready to go, but life got in the way, and I ended up kayaking instead.
