A neighbor's daughter (whose name reminds me of Captain Marvel's magic word, Shazam!) went for her first seaplane ride. Here's a video of it: http://youtu.be/DO3yK22qn08

(Her name means something like Morning Dew in her parents' native language, Bengali.)

Great flight and video Professor Bond. I feel like I just had my BFR!

Where and how have you mounted the camera?

Frank, it's Velcroed to a little channel I attached to the forward upright. The Velcro makes it easy to attach and detach and also helps to isolate it from vibration.

Don, I've looked at my forward upright root tube a number of times for the GoPro and between the flap handle, the aileron tube, the choke handle and the BRS handle, I don't got no room left!<!-- >'">
' or > missing in user HTML. I tried to add a comment to your video on youtube but it didn't work Don. I think this is what I enjoy the most about flying when you can get a new flyer in the plane with you. Great video Don, I know she'll never forget this her first ride in a small plane.

I guess this is where the phrase 'school birds, school birds' comes from... :-)

She said as we were getting into the airplane that she'd been thinking of taking flying lessons. Still seemed enthusiastic when we got back.

Hi Don. Nice to know you had such an influence in someone's determination! You make flying a
Searey look so easy and casual! I took the son of a friend up about a month ago and his mom, brother
and father all tell me he hasn't stopped talking about it and is determined to get his license.

Great video Don! You really are a charmer!
Was that a GoPro mounted on the forward root tube support?

Thank you for the ride Don. Like Frank said, I do not have room in that location for my GoPro. I like the perspective, will just need to get creative on the mount. Nice flying!

Hi Don I really love watching your videos especially this one.
When we travelled around Australia we did a lot of flights for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For some of the kids it was their first flight, there is something special about taking somebody for their first flight. It is certainly rewarding doing these flights, and it is great to find a good use for our expensive toys.

The back side of the turtle deck arch support (the sandwich of alum/ply/alum) should give a great smooth
support point to mount the articulating arm of the GoPro. I found room on my forward support even
though I've got manual flaps too.
