Looking for best dates to hold a Georgian Bay Gaggle this summer.

Normally we plan the week after Oshkosh with hotel reservations during the week because hotel
rates soar Friday through Sunday. AirVenture ends on July 29th

I am looking at either:
Tuesday July 31 to Friday August 3rd. or
Tuesday August 7th to Friday August, 10th

The latter might work best for Gerhard coming from Germany by lets see what your preferences
are...

OK, last chance for those who think they may come.
Do you desire the early or later period?
So far the early period is favoured..

    ACCOMODATION

Hello Georgian Gaggle Attendees:

I expect one or two may wish to arrive on Monday July 30th in order to start flight ops on Tuesday morning.

In any case I have spoken to Aziz , Manager of the Midland Quality Inn & Conference Centre (used to be Best Western).
Aziz has promised space @ CAD 108.99 per night including breakfast, for Monday to Friday's checkout.
Rates would be much higher on Friday night and the weekend. When you book make sure they don't add any extra fees.
Call Aziz at 705-526-9307 ext. 404.

Please give me or Dennis a heads up, when you know you (and a co-pilot) are coming so that we can adjust our logistics..

My 172 got a clean bill of health as of today so my intentions are to intersect. I don't want to
impose on anyone but if someone wants a right seat I would be more than happy to contribute and
cover costs I would greatly appreciate it. I am 185lbs soaking wet.
Weather permitting I have time scheduled in Chesapeake bay July 19-24th for some Searey
training so I will be chomping at the bit to get back in the air.
Call my cell or email me at waynehowie@rocketmail.com.

The Georgian Gaggle is over for another year. Thanks to Gerhard's mobile phone camera and Kevin's
ingenuity, we have some
interesting photos to share! (I'm sure others will post some here as well.)

Spectacular John. Glad it all went well again this year and looks like the fires didn't impact your fun.

We flew up to Parry Sound, through "hole in the wall" and on to Snug Harbour. No smoke visible anywhere.

Who is that threading through the HOLE-IN-THE-WALL?

Thanks John and Gerhard for all the photos and fun.

Lee
