What could have been a bad day for a Searey was merely a local curiosity. It still merited a front page story in Auckland's suburbia.

Some might think that was blatant flattery, Frank, but my comments concerning the local Samaritans were well-earned and heart-
felt. Perhaps the most surprising aspect is that they were accurately reported! We were even treated to a P-51 fly by when one of
the Samaritan responders got back to the airport.
