Do any of you use any kind of a barrier in front of the baggage area ? It seems to me that in any kind of a collision what ever you have back there is going to come forward and impact you in probably the worst of ways in the worst of places. Possibly even causing death in an otherwise survivable impact, at the very least head and neck injuries especially if you are wearing the shoulder belt as you will be prevented from moving forward while something is smacking you in the back of the head. Even small objects can develop tremendous force when accelerated fast enough. Both as a former Army helicopter pilot and EMT I have seen cases where this very thing has been the mechanism of injury in otherwise survivable circumstances.

I've thought about it, Randy. But I don't ordinarily keep anything back there, except for when I'm traveling, and then it's so full of big stuff that nothing is likely to come out anyway. But now that you've mentioned it, maybe I'll scout around for some light weight netting.

My Partner bent our ag-plane, the rear mounted ELT shattered his helmet, exited through the windshield and went well into the woods

I fitted my 'brace' for stiffening the structure and to help with containing items. The last thing I pack is my covers before connecting the braces. These hold everything back (I hope)
