Don,<br />May I assume there were mooring buoys and you didn't carry nor use an anchor?

Right, Frank. You can see one of the buoys in the photo, a white ball floating just to the right of the guy's face, lower left. There are a few others in the background, too.<br /><br />The seaplane base provides a bridle, maybe 6 feet long, to hook the airplane to the buoy. (Actually, they charge you a deposit, which you get back when you leave without the bridle.) I don't know how the buoys themselves are anchored, but they seemed secure. I do carry an anchor (a light weight aluminum Danforth-type, from West Marine), but have used it only a few times.
