Doug, is that your elevator falling off the tail?

Dan Nickens - Aug 18,2004 Viewers | Reply
You got him nailed, Doug (unless he fires back by tossing his camera over the side!).

It will take dynamite to dislodge my elevators now Dennis.

Wearing his camera was a definite possibility Dan. He had to take the strap off as it was blowing in front of the lense.

Hey Doug, You and John got REAL HIGH MARKS from Mike (my son) and about 500 gawkers on your formation departure at the seaplane base. He said the whole crowd was running from shore to shore to pick up your whole act. I didn't see it but I sure heard about it. Nice going mates !

Doug, this is as cool a SeaRey shot as I've ever seen--very dramatic!

As being one who has a great wingman who unselfishly snaps scads of pictures of Streaker in action and lets me post them and take credit...

let me say, Doug you're a lucky dog. GREAT SHOOTING JOHN D!

Actually, Bret, I cannot take any credit for such photo contortions. They were taken by my passenger Dennis Kovacs with the lense of his digital Nikon flipped around backwards (or something!)
We kept telling Doug to move up/down/left right, and he kept getting blowen out of there!

Doug should repost in a larger format. It's a nice sharp photo..

Buck, I've been puzzled about that too. I'm going to look at larger formats of several photos (Doug has them on his computer) and then perhaps we'll know the answer.
The Wing and flaps certainly look normal on the ground!

John---thanks for great shots, they bring back memories of your gaggle in 2003---the fabric deflection on the flap is more than I remember seeing on my flaps---

John, I really like it that you post your shots in large size.......pity about this one.

Thanks Roy, I wish you had an airplane to join us nest summer!

Rob, I mentioned the small format to Doug and he re-posted the exact same photo but larger, just two shots from this in the photo gallery..
