Description: The night was comfortable, us with our new queen size air mattress and Steve and Robin with their portable cots. By 8am we were up and ready to go exploring. Steve and Robin would be staying another night but Alex and I had to get back to the kids. We had until noon to play so we headed to Twitchell’s for some fuel, a bathroom, and to make a plan. Alex called her sister and said we were coming over to her lake.

It was fun flying over there. None of her family had ever seen the SeaRey in person. They had seen it years ago while still in parts in the barn and I think when they hear of our flights they still cringe with that vision of how they had seen the plane when it was being built. They are all non-pilots and are (understandably) worried about their daughter’s/sister’s crazy redneck husband who was always flying her around in some contraption.
