Description: Sometimes a country boy who has been living in 'the big smoke' for too long, just has to pack his swag and go west to get back to his roots.

With my SeaRey loaded to the gunnels with fuel (there is definitely no fuel for hours where I am headed so I have to be self sufficient), I have plenty of time to take in the landscape and think of 'All the Lives' down below that work so hard for a living in this tough environment.

This is Narromine about 3 hours west of Sydney. I can land here and drain the plumming or press on. I decide to keep going because I have a long way to go still and my friends who I am visiting are waiting for me to arrive for lunch.

l did consider removing my wing floats to help reduce the drag and hopefully achieve a little better airspeed because I know that there is very little water out here.

Narromine is lush compared to where I am going and the countryside has recently had several inches of wonderful rain. A lot of wheat and oats is grown here.

Great photos and a great trip Rob. The stark beauty of <br />' the outback' is overpowering. Makes me want to come back for another visit. When do you install a relief tube?

Not only are your photos sharp, but the visible and really clear. I've not seen this kind of unlimited visilbility since I flew out in our own West, California desert, Arizona, Utah, etc. Gives real meaning to the term CAVU. Great album and thanks for sharing.
