Very neat shot Don. The unthinkable happened, our hard drive 'died' and we didn't get a chance to put all my pictures on a cd. I know I have alot of pictures on the Splash &amp; Dash site and the SOS Lite site. I was wondering if there is a way to retrieve them back into our computer when we get it back from the shop?? I know you can send a picture in e-mail form, but I would like to put it back into jpeg form. Any thoughts?? Judy

This picture and a lot of others are definitely worth saving, Judy. On my computer all I have to do is right click the mouse and a menu comes up allowing me to 'Save Picture As.' I simply specify the place I want to put it and the format to save it. I hope it works for you because you've got some great shots to save.

Thanks Dan!!! I will certainly try doing that. I have pictures of our beloved Black Lab, Samantha, swimming with Bruce and then with me a few months before we lost her, and of course those pictures are lost also. We did get a cd burner recently and kept 'putting off' saving all the pictures. We know there is something called 'Data Recovery' but it looks like it is VERY EXPENSIVE. <br /> JB

As Dan said, Judy--but be sure to save the <I>full size </I>version (the "Click on photo to view the original size" version) not the small one that appears on the main page.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

Thanks Don. When we get the computer back I will try doing that. Fortunately our pictures from the Dry Tortugas are on regular film, and we also put them on a disk. <br /> JB

One of our computer 'kids' suggests a Western Digital External Hard Drive which comes with backup software. This is now #1 on my list. He prefers 'External' because you can transport it and move it to a new computer when the time arrives. Sorry for your loss. We're all due the same fate sooner or later.
