Thanks!

Yes Frank, those are still the originals, to be replaced. Lots of other stuff to deal with first. When we got it, it still had original everything (of a '95 kit) plus some not-so-great mods. I have a 'junk bin', kinda like your gillhooey pile.

Dennis
Your Searey looks real nice. What is all that snow and water in the picture. Just bragging about our weather on the west coast, been flying every day last week in temp. just a little cooler than those we get in summer.
Cheers Fred

Thanks all! Been a long journey, but the end's in sight (I think). Looking forward to the flying part.

Roberta: Funny story. It wasn't supposed to be all shiny. I finished the P-Spray and went in the next day to start the P-Tone colours. I had all the paint supplies separated (P-Tone for the fabric, Aerothane for the fuse) in different piles so I didn't make any mistakes. I took the first white from the PT pile, stired well and thinned, then started to spray. I sprayed from the tip in two ribs and thought something didn't look right. I glanced up at the can I had opened and my heart sunk: Aerothane! I had a mask on so no diff in odor to give it away. I sprayed uncatalyzed Areothane with PT reducer on the wing. In a panic I called ATS. As of that moment the plan changed to an all-shiny airplane! All worked out well in the end.

Fred: This was the first time it saw daylight. Hangar doors were frozen shut 'til now!

Dennis, I'm sitting here in Tokyo flipping thru S&D photos, catching up.

That paint job grows on you... I've laid the groundwork for it with the yellow tail, and would like to pretty much duplicate your work.

What a perfect way to accentuate the lines of the SeaRey!!
