Don, glad you got to enjoy one of the few clear summer days on the Chesapeake. The rest will be HH&H with 3 miles in haze and little or no horizon. At least in Florida, while we have Hot and Humid, we can see blue sky with no haze, err, at least before the afternoon thunderstorms.

After flying 15 years around the Chesapeake, I was unaware of MD01 seaplane base. Thanks for the photos.

Frank C., the owner of MD01, Stan Sweikar, a seaplane instructor, has lived there for 15 or 20 years. There are no services, although he and his wife are genial folks and would probably be glad to drive a seaplane pilot to a gas station. No one there that day had seen a SeaRey before, but they seemed interested in it.
