Description: Ready for inspection. Well here it is and I'd like to thank all the people that participate in the two sites, your trail blazing and insights into every part of the this plane have helped tremendously. There aren't many other places a person can go to get so much information and help right at your finger tips. It's been a challenging road, but with this group you can get a lot of inspiration and information...thanks!

Congrats Steve, now just don't forget all the things we learned from Cary. I forgot just enough to bounce mine on its first solo water landing but I flew with Bruce Bennett one day and found that an experienced Searey pilot was a great help - no more bounces. Bruce also helped me with dealing with porpoising. If possible, fly with some experience in the right seat for a refresher.

Thanks guys and yes Frank, the flag is in the proper orientation on the other side. Every thing you see is painted with the exception of the flag. Care to venture a guess on what it weights Frank? F.G. hull, ext. alternator, heater, hyd. gear, 'b' spindles, elt, radio trans., transponder and std. steam guages. Oh and I put marine carpet around the inside of the turtle deck and cockpit. (hint, it's heavy) Good news is I've been working really hard on getting my landing strip done, I'm losing weight.<br /> Larry, nice to hear from you, glad you are getting more comfortable with your plane and yes I am trying to work something out to get 'dual' in mine.

PRETTY plane, not so pretty pilot. How long is your runway now? I`m getting 400 more ft, which will be 1400 total. If you guys can`t land here, you can`t land anywhere. Just finishing up apartment here so if anyone needs lodging in their travels, its free so you can`t beat the price.

Charlie, thanks and I'm glad you don't think I'm pretty! ! I'll have between 1400 and 1500 feet with 50+ foot obstacles at either end and 85 feet wide at the narrowest part where my pond is. How are you doing with the plane?

Can you believe it? The D.A.R. doing the inspection called me today to do the inspection earlier than originally scheduled, everything went great, so offically I'm ready to go, as of today. He flew here in his homebuilt RV-6.
