Description: Sitting here at my vibrating desk listening to 15,000 horses push us North. Its 2300 L and its still twilight. We make the Arctic Circle on the morrow and begin our slow dance through the bergs. Yesterday we watched sperm whales frolic and today their worst fear (Orcas) were spotted on their trail. As the temps outside drop I can even better relate to Dan’s great adventures.

The cyclone worries of my hot and humid homeland seem a world away. There is one misty memory that is still fresh….a special moment for me just before I departed for work. This was my wife’s first ride in our Searey. She could have picked a better day but she had worked herself up for it and was ready to go. She has a tendency to get motion sickness but she did real well and I think she enjoyed it. It was late in the evening with showers in the area and thick haze. It was not the prettiest evening but it was smooth. My brother snapped the picture as we made a low pass over the lake.

Congratuations, Robert,on getting Wendy high. Maybe it's the start of something good. Take her to lunch somewhere on a lake and she'll be hooked.

I guess the real question is did she ever fly again?

    Frank,

Hopefully, she will. You are right, that is the real question. A good lunch at a nice place would sweeten the attraction. She loves horses, so maybe a trip to that Ranch Resort in Florida would be good.
A fly-to at River Ranch sounds like a GREAT idea. There are rooms available for those who would like to spend the night.

Do you think late October or early November?

Jon, late October sounds really good for us. My shoulder should be in better shape by October!! If the vote is early November, that would work too! JB
