Description: After a brief stopever to visit a friend near Quincy, IL, I flew northwest to my cousin's corn farm west of Fort Dodge, Iowa. A neighbor kindly let me use his grass runway and keep my SeaRey in his 'machine shed' (a huge metal building that would make any three or four T-hangars seem cramped). But I'll spare you the family photos and just get right on, heading back northeast toward Oshkosh.

Iowa is all corn--right? Nah! They grow propellers there, too.

Don, this wind farm looks like one I visit near Woodward Oklahoma. I'm a proponent of Solar and wind power,(if it ever becomes efficient enough to be feaseable) Good 'Green' power. However the neo environmentalists are trying to shut down the wind turbines because they are killing too many ducks and geese?? Maybe we can drill for oil under the windmills after millions of years of dead ducks!
