On to the Georgian Bay Gaggle!
I flew from Oshkosh to visit some friends on Beaver Island, in northern Lake Michigan, and then southeast across Michigan to Port Huron, where I snuck into Canada--NO! Where I crossed the border without any problems at all (other than a slight mixup in getting a squawk code from Selfridge AFB). Across the river at Sarnia, Ontario, the Canadian customs agents--a young guy and gal--couldn't have been more cheerful and efficient.
Carol met me at Sarnia, and we flew together to Midland, Ontario, to join the Gaggle on the second day.
Here are a few of the intrepid Gagglers (or Gaggleurs?), early risers on Day Three, stoking up for a flight to Bone Island and points north.
Kendall Toerner; his dad, Bob; Dave Edward, Mike Lusk and Sheree.
(That it happened to be also Carol's and my nth wedding anniversary was incidental to the main group, though not to us.)
