Description: Waiting for Darrell to show up from Mowhawk with the Sting, the two Reys and the Storch wait on the ground at Picton. Twilight gives us about another 40 minutes and we'll be scuppered!

    What John doesn't tell is that we launched in marginal evening VMC conditions and circled overhead Picton airport waiting for Darrell to join us. He saw our strobes, joined up and off we went to Cherry Valley , then East Lake...West Lake till Darrell voiced concerns about the amount of 'legal' daylight remaining. He sped off to Mohawk...Dave King aimed for Picton .John and I flew north to the cove. The ensuing arrival with 10 kt winds...fairly big swells and rollers and a landing into the escarpment was very entertaining. Lynn gave us hell on the hand held !!
