Description:
Behind the plaque is one of the largest houses on the island. Most are a lot more compact, as are the roads.
I noticed that even though the island is small and most of the residents make their livings from the Bay, there are few places in town where you can see farther than a hundred yards. The roads and lanes have lots of turns, the houses are close together, and tall grass grows all around the outside, blocking any view of the horizon.
You can't see the mainland from ground level, and I suppose I'd want to feel contained and sheltered, too, after a while of seeing nothing out there but water all around.
