Description: Alton Bay is a quintessential old New England town. Very pretty on an unseasonably warm fall day.

One nice thing about seaplane flying is that these spots that buzz in the summer and keep us away are all ours for the rest of the year. In the winter, there is a maintained ice runway here. Right in the heart of town.
