Description: The other day I came across my dogeared copy of the June 1996 issue of KITPLANES magazine--where I first learned of the SeaRey.

I don't recognize the pilot and passenger in this photo, but according to the FAA's online database, the airplane's serial number is IMA001, it was manufactured in 1993, and its current owner purchased it in 2002.

The same KITPLANES contains similar articles about the Aventura II and the Avid Catalina.
