Description: From the Land Down Under!

I enjoyed a week in Australia after departing my ship in Brisbane. Rob Loneragan and the guys in South Australia were a bit far from Brisbane, but Rob was very nice to tell me about Ron Mitchell near Fraser Island. I was determined to see a lot of Queensland in my week and that included seeing it from the air. I made my plans from the hotel room in the heart of Brisbane where I snapped this picture. I called Ron and he was another great Australian with a taste for adventure and many hours behind the helm of his Searey. He invited me to stop by when I got up his direction.

A quick check of Microsoft simulator and the internet and I found a nice little aviation jewel called RedCliff Areo Club. From the looks of their WEB page, it looked like a cool place. I figured that would be one of my first stops as I headed North from Brisbane. The next day I located a rental car for $30.00 a day, began chanting to my self … think left, think left … and headed out!
