It's a nice lake, Steve, but I discovered last summer that the lee shore is not a good place to alight on a breezy day. The waves were nothing much in the deep part, but when they reached the shallows they really heaped up fast. I did a bang and go and decided to try somewhere else.

Don the wave heights certainly can be deceiving on these lakes. What's Frank always saying...something about, 'first comes the experience and than the lesson'.

Shoot. Steve, the SeaRey Locator says you live near Midland. I practically flew over you after leaving Higgins Lake that day--heading for Port Huron and Sarnia.

Don, when did you do that trip? I bet you practically flew right over my house.

Just after Oshkosh. I was flying from Beaver Island to pick up my wife at Sarnia, en route to the Georgian Bay Gaggle. But I was probably a little east of you--crossed over the bay a couple of miles off shore, NW to SE.

My place is about 9 miles west of the Saginaw Bay, Page was at my place right after Oshkosh last year too, to take my Searey for it's first flight. If you ever get up in this area again you're definately welcome to stop by.
