Description:
The problem with playing around in a SeaRey in Florida in the summer is that the day does not improve as the afternoon wears on. Isolated cells can grow to mammoth lines, spreading across the state from coast to coast. There are still plenty of places to land and wait it out, but who has time for that?

Hey Dan, In your vast experience with SeaRey cross-country, what kind of turbulence have you subjected your bird to? Anything more than light turbulence I get a little nervous. I'm just curious if you have encountered moderate turbulence in your travels and how you thought the SeaRey faired( I call moderate turbulence when your head hits the cockpit ceiling and you groan involuntarily against your harness).

Once in Australia, Tom, and once out west the ride got 'moderately' head-knocking rough. Both times were in the mountains and both times the SeaRey was well below maneuvering speed. No worries in either case. It might have come out differently at a higher airspeed.
