Down load quick it won't last long. Maybe it should be moved to the Teck site before it gets lost

Terry, Those are technical questions, you know that's not allowed here. I want to know why John waited to introduce his wife to the group until he was ready to sell?

P.S. That looks like an IVO Magnum. The 912 would be better off with a 3 blade IVO I think.

Folks, let's continue this prop discussion on STS, for I also have a two-blade prop on my 912 and would be glad to talk about it. Personally, I'm amazed anyone even noticed the propellor in this pic...I didn't.

Guys,
The two blade prop is quite nice. The engine is a 912Xtra so she has the power to push. :-) Also, This plane is low weight with a CF hull - 825lbs placard.

I've got a special questions for you fellows...I have a guy in Portland Oregon that wants to buy it and I'm seeking anyone that has ever crated and shipped an existing Searey to learn of their experience. If you have please share your exerience and info. The idea of flying NC to Oregon is fun but not sure I'd take it on heading into the winter.

Thanks,
John Armstrong

John, a friend and I U-Hauled my Stingray from Florida to Maine. The Stingray is a bit shorter than a Searey though, and just fit inside their largest truck. We hung the wings on the walls inside. Everything fit, and the trip was an adventure in itself (aren't most road trips?)

I would kinda cringe at the idea of shipping a plane, though, not knowing how it would be handled along the way. The buyer may want to consider a similar road trip, with a flatbed trailer or larger enclosed truck. It won't be cheap, but neither would crating and shipping. At least he'd be the one doing the shipping and handling.
