There is a lot of work going on out there now. It all happens at once.

Does it sound like it's hailing on your hull when you land in a cranberry bog??

I have not tried that as yet. I bet you could make some very weak Cranberry Juice. The flooded bog is only a foot deep or less.

They grow in sandy soil that is keep quite moist. Then they use a machine type rake to pick the berries then flood the bog, the droped berries float, also I have seen them run the picking machine through a flooded bog. The floats are gathered at the edge by air boat or booms and pumped into a truck the water is drained out. They get all the berries little waste

http://www.capecodclipper.com/cranberry1.htm
