Great Pic, BRET. This has been one of the best year for fall colors here on the Plateau also. Have you started that house yet? Anxious to fly the Champ to Weakly.

Yes, it is great living here at Weakley Field. Airpark living is beautiful, conveinient and full of like-minded neighbors (in the aviation sense anyway .

As for our house... still not started but we're so close. We're just finishing the final details with the bank and the contractor. FYI - Dale Weakley (the developer) has installed lights though they are not powered yet and he's slavaged a bunch of VASI systems from airports around here. He's restored them like they were classic cars and two have been temporarily installed. This airpark is his baby and he never stops improving it.

    Bret,

Now that you are in the heart of Blue Ridge country, it is your solemn duty to arrange the 2007 Fall Colors Fly In. Investigation should produce a good lake in the area with camping available and a Searey friendly beach. Of course the activities should include a flight to beautiful Weakley Field.

Congratulations on finding paradise. Please let me know if you find the Fountain of Youth!
Hey Bret, How is your home coming along?

Thanks for asking Phil. We're plugging along... over budget and doing some stuff ourselfs to FEEL like we're saving money By the time you do a job 3 times to get it right, we've found, you still save about 1 or 2 percent over just hiring the pro from the beginning... so its definately worth it!
