This too is good news, Jim. Several years ago we stopped going to the fish camp because it had gotten so difficult to access. In fact, I just passed it up yesterday without giving it any consideration (and flew to River Ranch instead). Thanks for the report.

Looks aweful nice to us land-bound builders. So is E. Lake Toho in FL? On the Big O waterway?

Sorry to all the land lubbers, when you finally get down to Orlando, FL you can tuck under the Class B airspace just 6nm south of KMCO and race the Delta's and Southwest 737's to the dinner table at the Fish Camp. East Lake Tohopakaliga is the bigger lake you fly over on final to 18L/R landing north at the Orlando International Airport. I've talked with ATC many times, visited them personally and discovered they don't mind us there at all. Just keep low, below 900' under the Class B ring and caution for wake turbulence if you try racing the jets. Otherwise, a very easy place to visit...

Thanks for the report John. Access from the west is easy as well, call the Kissimmee tower and tell them you're headed to the lake for lunch. They will usually clear you through their airspace.

I just land on the south end of the lake and then act like a boat.

Somebody rumoured that the new St.Cloud Yacht Club and rowboat emporium they just built down there on the south side of E. Lake Toho was going to have a nice place to eat. I haven't seen anything in there yet. Even still, it's a short walk from that facility into downtown for the usual coffee shop and sandwich places. Could be worth at trip...
