So if your flaps are down and you go to reverse pitch (as in landing on a runway), will this beat up on your flaps? I'd be interested to know if the reversing prop has any real-world use besides just being kinda cool. Will it make landing roll out noticably shorter?

It might be an NSI Cap 140, and if it is, you might want to read this. I know what you're thinking Judy 'lets move this over to the tech site, and you're right' Attachments:

Sorry guys I just found out that you wrote to me oupsss probably because I was occupied in replacing the cuffs of my prop... Yes their where problems with the CAP-140 from NSI. The missing prop on Gary's was version 1 and they got problems because of the high compression of the 912S at idle. They made 2 other upgrades. I just upgrade to the 3rd generation that is aproved for 2000 hrs.

And Ken no their is no big presure on the flaps even when they are down and the beauty about in flight adj is that the searey is just like a boat and it is always fun to be able to back up from a dock or have a 2nd chance to arrive to a duck, or when beaching no u turns needed, and the choice of making less noise when take off and after it is just like a sport car with gradual gear up and gear down too when landing.
