Hi Tom:

A fellow 'ice-boater' (g)

Had my last water landing on January 12. Temperature was right at freezing. I flew over to my favorite spot on the Grand river and made a few landings. I did collect a tiny bit of ice on the hull after takeoff. No ice in the water though.

This last few days, 'normal' Canadian winter has returned. Temperature tonight is down to zero F. Ponds and rivers now freezing up quickly and solidly. Sigh.

Great pictures and appreciate seeing someone else 'pushing ice'. (g)

Best,
Larry

I have seen one Searey that looked like it took a shotgun blast to the H.Stab because the fist owner used the SeaRey to break ice and fly, Right Bill W

I would think this would be rough on the hull as well.

I advise you to wait until you can land on top of this cold stuff!
