Description: Another Magical Civil Twilight at Mallory Square. They were all there, the dollar chomping dog, the one man band, the singing pirate and unicycle fire jugglers. A couple I think I recognize from the mid 1970’s but now they have lines on their faces like mine and less hair.

All you guys and girls in the Key West Gaggle must be living right, because it appears the winds are going to lay down just for your arrival! We came in yesterday morning and are leaving this morning. I hope you guys got your hotel rooms squared away because the couple people I had come down to do service on the ship had a hard time finding rooms. One stayed on the ship. They said the Days Inn (usually cheap hotel) was $200.00 per night.

The town had plenty of people in it when I went out last night and that was after the two cruise ships with over 6,000 passengers and crew departed. The winds get real calm after 1600, sunset flights should be a blast. Here is a good weather link for you and your mostly excellent forecast. Wish I were not working and could join you……. Watch out for the Super Hornets, they carry a very bad sting!

http://seaboard.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=SANF1

GMZ052-053-054-072-073-074-075-241530- /O.ROU.KKEY.MA.F.0000.000000T0000Z-000000T0000Z/ OCEAN REEF TO CRAIG KEY OUT 20 NM- CRAIG KEY TO THE WEST END OF THE 7 MILE BRIDGE OUT 20 NM- WEST END OF THE 7 MILE BRIDGE TO KEY WEST OUT 20 NM- OCEAN REEF TO CRAIG KEY 20 TO 60 NM OUT- CRAIG KEY TO THE WEST END OF THE 7 MILE BRIDGE 20 TO 60 NM OUT- WEST END OF THE 7 MILE BRIDGE TO KEY WEST 20 TO 60 NM OUT- KEY WEST TO 20 NM WEST OF DRY TORTUGAS OUT 60 NM...INCLUDING THE FLORIDA KEYS NATIONAL MARINE SANCTUARY- 430 AM EST SAT FEB 24 2007
SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED TONIGHT

TODAY NORTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS EARLY...BECOMING EAST AND INCREASING TO 15 TO 20 KNOTS. That forecast may prove to be optimistic, Robert, and in that case we may just vicariously enjoy the Key West sunsets through your photo!
