Description: Carolyn arrived with the RV a couple hours after I landed as the winds gave me a 115 knot groundspeed! The memorial museum and park are officially closed at 5pm...and they lock the toilets at the FBO building, but leave access available to the flight planning room. No fuel, but Manteo (KMQI) is 5 minutes away and has a small WWII museum. The park security let us stay in the parking lot in the RV overnight.

    I'm glad you got there okay, John. The wind at FCI was still 15G25 until late evening, but I saw that it had dropped off considerably at the coast by late in the afternoon.

    The wind was light when I landed, but about 3 hours later it hit at KFFA too.
