Description:
Flew to Jamestown Island yesterday, 400 years and 3 days after John Smith & Company got here. (Well, okay, the ostensible mission was to beta test Dynon's new firmware, but there was no reason to let that get in the way of splashing and dashing.)
Here's some of the island--the visitor center, the John Smith statue, the phallic symbol, etc.--located more or less where the original settlement was. Maybe. No docks, ramps, or beaches--they don't want anyone slipping in without paying the 30 bucks admission. (I hear that's the price.)
Heading northwest (upstream) for this shot.
