What a wonderfully bizarre photo, John! It's almost as if you and Carolyn are in an LL Bean ad for genteel camping on the moon! But what I want to know is: Who or what held the camera?

Wow, I didn't even notice there were people in this picture. I was blinded by that beautifully clean, shiny airplane!!

Don, maybe the guy who took the photo is also one of the local aircraft detailers?
What you can't see in the photo is all the playa dust caked on the tail. It hoses off easily, however.

We always fly with a tripod!

And those chairs. Do they really fit in the baggage compartments? My Go-Ped does, but there's not much room left over. (Sooner or later I'm going to have to add hard points for external stores.)

Yes, both chairs fit inside the baggage compartment along with the tent, two sleeping bags, two Thermarest 3.5 inch thick mattress pads, camp stove, 2 gallon water jug, food....and wine!

So this is what you have been doing since I left Florida ...... you and Caroline certainly know how to put that SeaRey to good use!

This was only our second Searey Adventure since returning from Sun'nFun, but we plan to do some Nevada exploring before it gets too hot this summer. Today there were thunderstorms with 1334 lightning strikes in one hour!

Retired people such as you and Dan make me soooooo jealous! John, how many hours do you have on the Searey now?

John Spratt - Jun 02,2007 Viewers | Reply
459.1 hours, but don't be jealous of the paycheck!

    John,
Terrific photos, looks like you should be on the Discovery Channel!

I limit my wife to 5kg of luggage; she reckons her bathroom bag weighs more than that! Carolyn looks so
smart & comfortable. Linda wants to know what her luggage limit is?

John Spratt - Jun 03,2007 Viewers | Reply
17.5Kg (35lbs), but I suspect she cheats! The baggage compartment was certified for 35kg (70lbs) and we used every bit of that on our long Searey Adventure flying across the USA to Florida.
