Description: Sunday was the perfect SeaRey day in southern Ontario. My daughter Alicia decided she deserved some time away from the books to go for a flight with dad. So we took off from Downs Field in the aft and headed north towards Georgian Bay.

Normally the prevailing winds leave the water with a real surf not conducive to SeaReys. This day however the only waves were boat wakes. We landed just off Wasaga Beach, a popular spot for a day’s trip to the beach for many in the region.

After cruising along the strip and stopping to take this pic, we took off and headed directly across the bay. The air was so calm that the SeaRey flew hands-off until I realized we were both in sight-seeing mode and not paying enough attention to the job of flying!

It was a tough decision to finally turn back and head for home. Hopefully I can coax her to venture out more this summer.

Sounds like a 'Life Experience', courtesy SeaRey. Neat.
By the way Dennis, do we see an individual actually standing in
Canadian waters to the far left?...and, it's only June!

Bruno & Dennis, 'great' water is no lower than 85F, so I wonder if Great
Water isn't a contradiction in terms for you all up yonder.

Dennis, my seemingly exponential approach to flying has slowed due to
travel to grandkids graduating HS and some family
medical issues. But I did obtain my FAA Registration after taking the
EAA course in how to fill out all the
forms. I still need to figure out the 'end game', namely completion of
final details, trransportation to airport and final
assembly I've completed 3 engine starts and all seems good to go so
far. My goal remains this summer.
