Description: The second 1/2 arch was faster 'cause of our on the job training but probably the most scary event of my life (being on the scaffolding trying to put those connector bolts in and wondering when it was gonna start getting squirelly again... it didn't but every waft of wind made us really nervous.

The problem, other than knowing (by experience) the lifting technique, is that the scaffold must be exactly the correct height. I'm a math teacher (maybe not a good one) and ours was a little low and I'll tell you that ain't nothing but a maiming in the waiting... as soon as you push it up to connect the two halves it wants to start roaming on you and you better get it on something steady fast. We finally shimmed up the scaffolding with some 2x12's via U bolts and 'got er done'! One was enough for the day but we're feeling like we're tooled-up and trained now and we'll start getting into a flow and making faster progress.

We'll see. I'll keep you posted. That said... I still love my Quonsett hut and the bragging rights will be quite large someday when sipping brews in there with the boys...

Everythings bigger in Tennessee! or was that Texas? Lookin' good Brett. You'll love the room. I've had my new hangar up for several months now, but a Searey condition inspection, and a C182 annual have prevented me from really getting it organized. I keep hoping. Good luck with the rest. It will get easier, and the Cervesa fria will go down smooth.

...we'll we got 2 more arches up yesterday for a total of 3. Only 23 more to go...uuuugghhhh! We're getting faster. I think we'll get 3 or 4 up on the next work day. As charlie said, its getting way more stable now that we have three arches up.
