Description: On Thrusday we took a tour around some of the very popular inland lakes with a planned splashing site to stop for lunch and a swim.

As we headed south, the weather conditions deteriorated to the point where we were getting tossed around by strong gusts and the ceiling kept squeezing lower and lower.

When we reached the planned picnic site, the popular vote was to skip it and head for home. What the heack, we were prepared for a picnic, so we had one on our own beach in the sun and sheltered from the wind.

It really is a perfect home base!

That is just too cool, Dennis! I wish we'd been able to get there, too.

Thanks Frank (and it wasn't really a postcard). Now finish building and get on up in the air!

I just enjoy all this group's photos so much, don't have time to finish building. (I caught the humor in the post card
comment, good photo! ) Back to building soon, need to move the radiator and add a gascolator.

It was a great week at a great location!
The fun was the group interaction around the fire and the aura close to Martha after that bumpy flight.
There was also that smile on John D's after he got the keys to JIB again !
And then there was Bob T. and those grapes !
And Bob with wine kettle on the beach.... Attachments:

Lee, Your photos are good, but I really like that you labeled the players. Not all of us know everybody yet, and it
helps to put names with faces (and planes). I happened to click first on 0528 and recognized only the fire, some
New Balance shoes, and some adult beverages, but not the folk, so #--0636, etc., solves that. Thanks.

    Frank.
So, I got lazy. My technique is to label photos with names so I can sort later using standard software tools.
Anyway, I have now labelled 0528 with the names of the fire spotters. 636 is missing Bob Toerner and John Dunlop.
