Description: Imported weeds are choking some of the Wisconsin lakes. Walt told me that once they get started, you can’t get rid of them. The state hires contractors to cut openings for navigation. Homeowners have to pay, however, to have their docks opened up. The green gunk grows up to a depth of 15’ and it isn’t killed off by the winter freezes.

At the seaplane base there was concern about a virus that kills fish. It was present in Lake Winnebago. To prevent it from being spread to other lakes, float owners were being asked to pump out any water in the floats into buckets. Add some bleach to kill the bugs. Amphib guys could fly to an airport to decontaminate.
