Description: Daylight was waning. The white pelicans were searching for an evening roost. Mine was Ada.

The FBO was closed but there was a lot of activity surrounding a large jet hogging one of the few taxiways. It was the same jet I saw at Borger, Texas. I hitched a ride to a hotel with a flight instructor who told me that it was Mayor Giuliani’s ride. The cover story was that he was attending a political function in town. I’m pretty sure he was following me around.

The daily log figured as follows:
Tucumari (TCC) to Borger, TX (BGD) via Ute Reservoir = 2.7 hrs.
BGD to Hemphill Count, TX (HHF) = 1.1 hrs.
HHF to Hinton, OK (2O8) = 2.1 hrs.
2O8 to Ada, OK (ADH) = 1.6 hrs.
Or a total of 7.5 mostly sandy hours in a seaplane.
