Description: Langley has something like 18 wind tunnels. (Or did they say 23?) This is the subsonic 14- foot wind tunnel. The model being tested is of a replacement for the C-130 and the V-22--a fixed wing with a heavy-lift rotor. Look for it in about 10 years.

    That's interesting. So they plan to replace a 180,000 lb airplane with a rotor aircraft? Like to see that rotor in action - bet it looks like the bottom of a sine wave under lift.
