Ok. It wasn't quite that lonely. The first stop to the Dave mansion. Watch a little of the Bills game on Dave's LCD monster.

You can see Dave's Hanger/Garage/Playroom on the left side of the massive structure.

It seems that I might as well continue talking to myself AGAIN.
No traffic on the Lake either. This is really unusual but it must be really difficult to launch a boat now with this aquatic recession. A few circuits, scare a few birds, and then why not roll up on the beach? It was too steep and I wasn't sure how solid it was. So away I go with a nice sharp 180 step turn to takeoff.

It was fun, but I had to play with myself !.
Don't leave me alone again.

Is the aquatic regression at Lake Conestogo typical for this time of year, Lee, or is this more evidence of Global Warping?

No global warping, just a hole in the dyke.

Lee, you must not try these 'November beaches!' They are often mostly ooze just below the suface and can get a searey mired (till spring!)

Dan like many of these little Ontario lakes on rivers, Belwood Lake on the Grand and Lake Conestogo over by Dave are dammed to provide flood control. The dams are open for the winter freeze up and the almost empty 'lake' awaits the rushing waters of the spring melt..

All the 'Great' lakes are down this year. Lake Ontario is 2' below datam and when we put Bill Hone's Magnum away this fall, we had a hell of a time... had to go out 50' to get the depth for the trailer before we could get the plane on it. If we don't get significant snow fall this winter, the water levels will be really low next year.

John
It was very tempting to pull up on the 'beach', but with nobody on the lake to dig me out, nor any flying back-up buddies, away I went.
That's the view from my side of the dam thing.

Hi Lee:

My non-attendace was almost unforgiveable, especially after I called you about an 'outing' just a week previous.

Until the weekend, I had been postponing some household repairs but simply couldn't put them off any longer.

All of this stated, I will be flying this weekend unless the weather is really nasty. I will call and let you know my intentions.

Best,
Larry

Hi lee:

Dave is accurate about the Great lakes levels. It's been a long time since I have seen my 'beach' (on Lake Ontario) so broad.

Best,
Larry
