I prefer the blue RHS. But this is probably because it looks like my airplane.
Lower blues are OK and should reflect the UV and heat damage better. Did you know that Diamond aircraft doesn't use any 'colour', other than white on its horizontal surfaces for the DA20, DA40 etc. I heard the above explanation at the factory.
The other ones look too much like Dennis YELLOW. It's ok, but its too flashy for me. That Dennis is another character though.

You said first top right ?
The wings will be all white and the attack deep yellow or blue....
The rest is not very attacked by UV's
And I liked very much the caracter of Dennis...hahahaha

Don Maxwell - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
Bruno, I like top right and bottom right best. The only problem with white wings is that the bugs show.

Dennis Vogan - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
    Ditto for me.

Bruno, I wondered where you were. You were aweful quite for a long time. I see you've been colouring pictures!

Bruno Grondin - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
Ditto ?????? Dennis I was translating your old messages, not colouring...
What Ditto means fiston.... Dennis I liked your deep yellow, cant you give me your paint specs...?
Dennis dont worry if you dont have news from me this doesent meen I dont think of you...hahahahahaha

Dennis Vogan - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
Lee, I chose those colours so you won't hit me while we're on the way for that proverbial hundred-dollar hamburger.

John Robert Dunlop - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
UV and heat should not affect the fabric areas.
This problem is primarily a thin composite one..

Bruno Grondin - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
John I understand, Wings are fabric and it is protected from UV with paint, and the color white will repell heat... But what do you mean by thin composite ?

John Robert Dunlop - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
What I mean is that the thin wings (composite-over-foam) of some composite aircraft seem to be compromised by dark colours. I'm not an expert so perhaps one of our more knowledgeable folk can help me out. I don’t believe the SeaRey’s fiberglass components are in any danger..

Dan Nickens - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
Maybe, but the fabric is another issue, John. Dark colored fabrics have had some trouble here in the subtropics.

John Robert Dunlop - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
The pinking tapes could shrink if the fabric got hot enough I suppose. What other issues are there?

Dan Nickens - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
    That's it!

Don Maxwell - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
Sunlight can get dark painted fabric up to 225 F?

Dan Nickens - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
It happened on my Maule with its dark blue fabric. Twice, so far.

John Robert Dunlop - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
I like them all Bruno! Top I guess..
Then bottom.
(All with the name.)

Kenneth Leonard - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
Bruno - I like them all but the one's with the pylon painted are best. Frank Gracy pointed out that having the pylon a different color than the rest of the plane really changes the way you look at the whole image. I agree.

Eric Batterman - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
More color = more better. Too many mostly white airplanes out there. Anything in the top half works for me. Nice scheme. 'Fly up' has many meanings too.

Bruno Grondin - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
Ken, Eric, yup color (more better) I want to be seen in the air so others will think twice before goiing airborne when I'm arround....haha

Dennis Scearce - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
    top right

Dan Nickens - Nov 14,2007 Viewers | Reply
I'd like one of each. Very nice, Bruno.

Bruno Grondin - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
So..... bottom line... the two first line are the winners hein...
I'll concentrate on these and will come back with it...
Thanks to you all les enfants....

Frank A. Carr - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
Bruno, my grand daughter looked at my ideas, and said no grandpa, a sea plane should be blue. Put me down for the top two.

Bruno Grondin - Nov 15,2007 Viewers | Reply
Frank Grandpa oups Carr, dont know what ideas, but your grand daughter got it, good pick. Thanks Frank
