So Dan, I see you've upgraded your hardware for the AnywhereMap. It is the same unit I'm using but I don't have weather. Do you find the weather display adds a comfort level when flying your 'rey?

I'll bet it did on that trip, Ken. His indicated course would have taken him right into bad weather. I occasionally use Pilot My-Cast on my cell phone to watch storms--not that I'd do that in flight, of course. Harrumph! Of course not. Never.

Absolutely, Ken. The 'I could be Anywhere Map' is so entertaining that there really isn't much need to look outside the cockpit! (As it turned out the rainshower off of Cedar Key dissipated before I could get there. I knew that because I sneaked a peak out of the window.)

Truthfully? The weather feature is nice for strategic weather evaluation. And that's the story I keep telling Ann when she pays the monthly bill.

Dan
I shelved my Anywhere Map cause the UP kept dumping the program at critical times of use, like justifying it in front of Diane.
Should I be reconsidering, not Diane; Anywhere Map?

It sounds like a perfectly plausible excuse for convincing Diane than an upgrade to a Garmin 396/496 is needed, Lee.
