Description: It doesn’t look like much now, but the Mississippi River has decided that this will be its future course. Over the past 7,000 years, the Mississippi has created seven major deltas in eastern and central Louisiana. A great delta will explode out into the Atchafalaya Bay on the day the Corpse of Engineers retires from the battle to control the river’s course.
