There are nightmare stories told of entering Mexico by light aircraft. This was not one of them.
My concern about Diego’s first landing was greatly reduced when I saw the length of pavement. It was big jet size. Lots of wide open spaces. Diego didn’t need it. He made an absolutely flawless landing.
The airplane was immediately the center of attention at the large executive airport of Del Norte (MMAN). There never was a friendlier, more welcoming group of bureaucrats and government officials.
There was a lot of conversation that I didn’t understand. I heard, “Esta chingon” a lot. I asked Diego what it meant. “How do you say in English….hmmm….it’s very macho. The airplane is very macho. Very strong. Very good.”
Yeah, I knew that.

Dan, make sure Diego gets an invite to Splash-N-Dash so that we may get some wonderful stories and photos from south of the border. Also, good on you for yet another 'Nickens Adventure'! Thank you.
