Description: Out on the edge of town is a large lake. This reservoir was the principal source of water for Monterrey until a much larger lake was made. This is why Diego bought the SeaRey: to commute to his family’s ranch on the lake.

“Is it legal to land on the reservoir,” I asked with some trepidation.

“Would it be legal for Martians to land their spaceship in Dallas? The topic has never even been imagined by the officials.”

As it turned out, the lake level fluctuated greatly in times past due to water consumption. During low water levels, Diego’s family had landed their airplanes on the dry lake bed. That’s precedent, I decided.
