Tom’s airplane is fitted with VGs on the outer half of the wing (but no wing cuff). Kerry was quite pleased with the slow flight and stall characteristics.

So is that going to be the new wing change, no cuffs just vortex generators? I thought you tried this already Dan years ago with minimal results. Perhaps once they lose the cuff things might be different?

Who knows, Dave? Kerry is just experimenting. Right now he just likes the stall.

Why is this better? Better stall or higher top end?

Ken, VG's are suppose to give the ailerons more authority, so I guess probably more control during stall or pre-stall conditions. I know a Glastar can be fully stalled and still have aileron control with VG's.
