Description: This year's Beech Hill Pond winter fly-in (Maine) was last Sunday (16th). The weather and lake ice conditions were perfect. Mine (in the pic) was one of several on wheels, while many ski planes also arrived. Many planes, good friends, smooth winter flying, and a ton of great food in the hangar. Don't get no bettah than this, ayuh (for winter anyway).

Follow the link for more pics taken by John Miller (Miller's Field), with more at the Beech Hill Pond fly-in near the bottom.

Brrr! Did you ice fish too?

I don't ice fish, but there were several folks fishing around the lake.

I heard that one pilot did drill a hole and fished right after arriving! Some people love it. I don't quite get it, but that's ok.

Wow, look at that single seat searey, stingray! Glad to see you're out playing in the snow.

We can't let the southerners have all the winter fun, can we?

I should have mentioned that John Miller snapped that pic as I was taxiing in, and sent it to me later. Those two planes roared overhead (low pass) as the guy was pointing where he wanted me to park.

    Are they Glasstar and Cesna?

Ed, one's a Cessna, not sure about the other.
