    Yes I need to head south soon. Actually I drifted into this mess of ice after landing in the open water . A little push off with my paddle was necessary to prevent puncture of the fabric

    Wasn't sure how to add the photo here so added to the front page - We have a ice boom that prevents the ice from entering the Niagara river so I usually have pretty clear sailing all winter The slush in the first picture is just some ooze that made it around the boom that I let the rey drift into just for a fun picture
