I'm sure he told me but I had to forget it to have room in my brain for all the Rotax school info.

You are correct, this is the last one out of my shop. Delivered it to Terry after the Sebring show couple months back. Was glad to see Terry brought it to Garners. Jim Ratte

Jim, what are the nubs protruding out of the first rib inside the root rib, about mid chord?

Jim Ratte - Apr 26,2008 Viewers | Reply
    Tom,

The nubs are to hold the 'Stow n Go' rear windows when opened up. I got lucky designing these in that when opened, the bottom of the window just happened to come up to that first rib

Though it cannot be seen, I've also designed a inner rib which attaches to the wood rib. (Terry's plane was the first to get these installed) The purpose is to make it easier to install the center gap cover. Slightly wider then I first envisioned them, it actually helps to keep the gap cover from oil canning and adds a bunch of support. I need to add some photos of these to my website soon. Jim

Actually, I can attest that Jim does outstanding work.

I also will attest, Jim did my panel, quickly and with excellent workmanship.
