Description: Not far from the Tajmahanger is Bugg Springs. The clear water boiling from 170’ below the surface is off limits. The spring is used by the U.S. Navy to conduct underwater sound research. No porpoise have been hurt in the testing.

Jeez Dan,<br /><br />How do you know all this stuff.<br /><br />When I am flying, and I see something curious and interesting, I say to myself, 'Gee, that is curious and interesting looking, I wonder what it is.'<br /><br />And then, belive it or not, it doesnt just pop in my head. I never find out.<br /><br />I'm gonna start posting pictures of stuff and asking YOU what they are. You answers may not be accurate, but I am sure they will be entertaining.

Tony,<br /><br />Tony, I agree with you! I have enough trouble remembering where I was when I took a photo. <br /><br />I think Dan's secret is that he carries a World-Wide-Wi-Fi with Instant Google Access in his panel which <br />autonomously appends all this stuff to his MyFamily.com photo uploads. .

Most of the time, Tony, stuff just melts in the mush on top of my head. I flew over this place for years assuming it was a bottled water operation brazenly stealing spring water for the guzzling masses. Fine with me. Recently, however, a company proposed setting up a big operation to do just that down by Gary's house. A hue and cry far and wide was raised that there just wasn't enough water to share. Needing water for critical SeaRey ops, the controversy generated high anxiety. Fortunately the permit for the proposed water sucking operation was denied. Though I applauded the result, it just didn't seem fair, what with another SeaRey water sucking operation so close by, so I searched for Florida springs in Lake County with bottled water operations. There were none. There was only the Navy doing its secret thing not 10 miles from my hangar. How many times did some ensign lock on to my low flying SeaRey's heat signature with an atomic missle? Death cheated again! I don't mind that. Sometimes, though, I like to know what the odds are. At least now I know they are better than the poor porpoise's. Until I get my new WWWFIGA thingy that Frank is gonna sell, I'm happy with that.

I tried to look up Bugg Springs on Google earth but no joy. Where is it?

It is near Okahumpka, Ken, on the northwest side of Lake Harris (south of Leesburg) and south of the stream (Helena Run) leading to Lake Denham (or, if you prefer, UTM Zone 17 410808E 3181262N, or 28.75211N, 81.9136W).
